The subject says it all, folks.  Boredom is why I bother.  Anyway.

Portcon summary long overdue! )

Summer Matsuri and a little on fencing )

Class stuff )

Hentai!! )

Alright, I think that's all.  It's kind of sad that all of my entries have to consist of cuts because they're so long.  Oh well.  ...Damn.  There's one more thing.  A friend of mine and I are starting our own RP.  That's all.  Should be pretty sweet being a mod.  It shall be up soon.  If someone (I have no idea who) is interested and reading this, it's [info]lucidity_ideal .  Okay, I'm done.

Yeah, I'm actually posting within the same week, I believe!  I'm just really, really bored is all.

I think I lied in my last entry.  I said it was the longest, but I think my post about Anime Boston was longer.

Well, I think I'm done.  Jeez, I really do write too much.  I guess I do have a lot to talk about.  So much so that I feel as though I should use cuts so as not to clutter others' friends pages.  I think I kinda screwed up because I accidentally deleted a bunch of comments I received.  Anyway, I think I'm gonna go to bed.

I don't know why I bother updating, really.  I do it sparsely and they're always long to make up for lost time, I suppose.  Eh, whatever.

RPing )

PortCon )

Well, that's all I can think of at the moment.  This was definitely the longest entry I've ever written, which is why I put all of it under cuts.  Alright, I'll probably update in like, August or something.  Maybe even after PortCon! (gasp)

So yeah, Anime Boston this year was easily the best convention I've ever been to.  Probably better than all of the previous ones combined.  Aw yeah.

There were several reasons for this and I will list some of them.

1.  I had FANGIRLS.  Yes, that's right, FANGIRLS.  And not just a couple; there were like, 12 or so.

2.  I was stopped very, very often to have my picture taken.  Even by people who didn't know Neuro.  This was probably because a. I was the only Neuro at the whole convention and b. since Neuro is such an obscure series, if a fan sees a Neuro cosplayer, they will react, as opposed to someone being like, Naruto or Ichigo where there's like, a thousand of them.  I was stopped by guys too who would say things like, "No way!  There's actually a Neuro here?!"

It was a very nice ego boost.  I'm positive I sound conceited, but hey, I'm sure you'd want to brag a little if you had fangirls that wanted to see you without your jacket on and thought you were damn sexy.

3.  The Pillows had a concert...Which was epic.  It was really, really good.  The line was ridiculously long, it even went up stairs.  I think my "section" of the line got to cut a little, though, because when we got down a level, we, like, fused with another part of the line that was closer to the door.  So I had pretty good seats.  Right, I forgot to mention something.  I'll go explain that first.

So, I was wandering around most of the convention by myself.  I got separated from Minkus and my brother and the other guys and we never really met up again.  That was okay, though.  Eventually, I found a Yako AND a X (Sai), so I hung out with those two and one of their friends for pretty much the whole day.  It was really fun because when people took our picture I would choke Yako or something.  Anyway, we went to the concert together.

3. (cont.)  So, us four had pretty good seats for the concert.  Some lame band played before the Pillows, though, which was annoying.  Our Yako wanted to dance and stuff, but the people behind us wanted her to sit down.  She got annoyed because I guess she had a little temper and left.  She came back though and went up to the balcony so that she could dance.  This was when the Pillows had started playing, though.

The X and the other girl whose name was Olivia noticed her and were heading up to the balcony too, so I followed, not really knowing what they were going to do.  We reached Yako and started dancing.  It was ridiculously fun.  I danced more than I ever have that day.  We even attracted a couple more people to come over and dance with us.  It was especially awesome when I could sing along to the songs because I used to listen to the Pillows a lot.  Once the Pillows had stopped playing, we actually convinced them to play a couple more songs.  It was just an amazing concert overall.  Alright, now to the interesting story.

4.  This is a weird story for many.  Okay, so after the concert, Olivia was asking me if I wanted to go back to their hotel room (I'll withhold the reason for now).  These four other girls were coming as well, I'm not exactly sure why.  We had talked about this earlier and now we were actually going to go back.  I was pretty excited.  So, here I am, alone in a hotel room with 7 other girls.  You know why we were there?

Earlier Olivia was talking about Super Smash Bros. Brawl and wanted to know if I wanted to play with them.   So we went back to the room and had an eight person tournament (which I won).  Olivia was saying that no one could really be good with Olimar, but I told her that I was pretty good with him.  She challenged me and that was part of the reason.

Disappointed?  Yeah, so was everyone else that I told.  But, I mean, hey, not like anything really could have happened without some kind of drug being involved.  Although, it was an anime convention...

Anyway, I thought it was amusing.  My cousin said I was pimpin' and I laughed.  It was just a funny to hear that said.  So, that's the end of that story.

After the tournament, I met up with Minkus and thems, and they had a good laugh because they had jokingly described my situation before I even told them about it.  Once eight o'clock rolled around, I went to the dance and let it all loose.  I danced a lot.  I had to leave at around 10:15 though...which was really too bad.  Well, next year I'll get a hotel room.

I'm hopefully gonna go to Portcon, I probably will, but I just have to make sure my job doesn't interfere.  Gonna get a new cosplay too.  Alrighty, well that's that.  Damn that's a long entry.

Yeah, I don't know why I'm not tired.  I was up 'til about 5:20 in the morning playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.  And I decided to get up at around 8:35 'cause I heard my brother still in the house and I wasn't sure why considering it's a school day.  I guess there was a delay today, so that explains it.  Here I am though, still awake and good.

FFTA is a fun game though.  Has some bad points, like LAWS.  Stupid laws.  The original Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSX is much better.  It was more challenging too.  FFTA does have more classes, but that's because there are 5 different races.  Humans, Moogles, Nu Mous, Bangaas, and Vieras.  Moogles are useless.  FFT is all humans, but there are 18 jobs.  The jobs are very creative too, like a Mime or Mediator.  Anyway, I'm done with that because I've noticed that I have a habit of describing games or animes in too much detail in a post.  Look up FFT or FFTA if you're interested.

Jeff is gonna ask Ben today if he has the playing mat and the miniatures for D&D.  Hopefully Ben has them 'cause on Saturday I think, Minkus, Jeff, Sam, Jacob, and I are gonna do a campaign with Minkus as the DM.  I guess I have to edit my character 'cause Minkus decided to change the whole class...That's gonna be annoying, especially because my guy (he's a Dragoon Knight; a class Minkus made up) is no longer a prestige class.  He originally was a Scout then a Dragoon Knight, but Minkus made the Dragoon Knight a base class now.  Which is kind of annoying because I think I'm gonna lose some good Scout feats, like Skirmish (don't remember if that's a feat though...).   Oh well.

I haven't really worked on my AMV, I'm only up to I think 20 seconds now.  I don't think I'm gonna finish it this vacation.  Which is unfortunate because Jeff's advice on my last one was really helpful.
Don't really know what I'm gonna do today.  Maybe play more FFTA or something.  It's easy to lose track of time with that game.  Oh right, I went to the high school's anime club on Wednesday.  I was really bored that day and Jeff called the house saying he was going to it, so I drove to the rec courts and walked over and right into the school.  No one questioned me ku ku ku...

I was pretty well-received.  Everyone was like, "Hey, it's you!" and stuff.  Ironically enough for me, it was the meeting in which they were discussing the Smash Bros. tournament.  I was like, "Oh right, I won that last year," and I was crowned the reigning champ in the room.  At least, that's what everyone said.  I helped determine what the rules were gonna be and didn't have to sit down = )  I was messing around with a marker and kept dropping it.  Anyway, I guess I'm gonna be a "Final Boss" to the winner of the tournament later in March because my spring break isn't the same as theirs.  I said I was gonna try using Bowser.  I've actually gotten quite good with Bowser.  I usually beat the people I face.   Anyway, it was cool to be back and see everyone.  I missed Kelsey.  Hear that Kelsey?  I missed you and you need to watch Neuro!  Ahem.  Anyway, back to Smash Bros.

In November I think it was, there was a Smash Bros. tournament at UNH and there was a team tourney.  My new friend, Andrew, and I entered, him as Capt. Falcon and I as Bowser.  We came in 3rd out of like, 30 people.  With CAPT. FALCON and BOWSER.  I'm rather proud of us.  It was kind of funny because people there were like, "What?  Bowser?" and actually most people were like, "Yeah!  Go Bowser!"  Then there was a singles tournament and I came in 2nd for that one; with Samus, though.

Ugh, long entry AGAIN.  I guess I just have a lot to talk about.  Probably be online later tonight if I'm not doing anything.  Gotta talk to Minkus.  Damn song...

I'm kinda tired.

I'm also a little annoyed because someone keeps stealing my Neuro icons. Well, the ones I took from the manga they are taking and coloring them in. So technically theirs are more appealing, but I got them first. So nyah.

Anyway, I started a new AMV. It's to Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. The original was by Michael Jackson, but I listened to that version and it's really bad in my opinion. I only have 10 seconds done though...Oh well, I'll try to finish it this week. Last week of winter break. The whole month off was nice. Well, my new classes should be fun. No english...thank God.

Today I played Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and Mario Power Tennis with all my siblings. That is, Jeff, Kevin, AND Caroline all played. It was really fun. It's rare that all of us play together. In Mario Kart, Kevin won the most, which was surprising to me. I don't remember him being that good. Caroline came in fourth 13 times hehe. When we played Mario Tennis, we did teams and it was really funny. When Kevin and Caroline were on a team, it was hilarious. Caroline was Petey Pirahna and Kevin and her were arguing sort of the whole match. Well, Kevin was telling her to do stuff and she was just cracking up. It was just really funny. I guess you had to be there.

Oh right, Jeff and I played a lot of Soul Calibur II today as well. I don't know why Jeff wants to keep playing. He loses to me every time and gets angry over it. He even says, "Why do I do this to myself?" and I have to wonder the same thing. I mean, I enjoy playing, but Jeff keeps losing and gets frustrated; reasonably so. He hasn't beaten me once yet, so yeah. And he keeps saying, "Never again. I will never play this game again." But he does. And I bet he'll play tomorrow too.

The song I'm listening to is obnoxiously addicting. I can't stop listening to it.  There's a YouTube video featuring two characters from the anime Popotan doing this weird dance to the song.  It's kind of hypnotic paired with the song.  Caramelldansen!

I have this weird desire to make a Neuro version of that video.  If I could actually draw, that is.  It'd be really weird to see Neuro doing that.  Possibly with X or Yako.  It'd be cool if Akane could be in it too, at the bottom.  It'd be sort of natural because she does just kind of wave around all the time.

Well, I think I'm done.  I might be doing something with Minkus tomorrow.  We'll see.  Uh, good night I guess, even though I'm going to stay awake some more.

Soo, yeah. I'm not sure if it has been 10 weeks since I made an actual post. I did post my AMV, but that's it. Which reminds me...

PLEASE COMMENT ON IT. I worked on that thing for like, 12 hours or so, yet nearly no people have commented on it. I actually got NO comments on it from the freakin' Neuro community, which made me sad. I got some on Youtube though. I'm thinkin' about making another AMV, which will hopefully get some more attention. Oh well.

Anyway, break is going pretty sweetly. A whole month off from school. I'm only slightly bored though. Albeit, I can't remember much that I have done, but that's beside the point. Yesterday I hung out at Dan's. We talked and played some Time Splitters 2 and Soul Calibur II. Then we watched some Monk and two episodes of Neuro. I'm glad to have gotten one of my friends into Neuro. The anime is far inferior to the manga (which seems to be pretty common. It's kind of the same with Hoshin Engi, I started the manga and the anime is very different. I still really like the anime though; the voices were great.), but it is still enjoyable. Dan enjoys it; he thinks Neuro (the character) is really cool and stuff. Er, back to yesterday. At around 7:40 PM, we decided to call up our friend Nate and go to Wendy's with him.

So we went to Wendy's and talked there for around an hour. By the time we got Nate home, it was around 10-ish. We talked about random stuff, I guess Nate is only meh with college. I'm having fun at UNH; I can stay up as late as I want and the homework is easy. Our teachers lied to us when they said college would be challenging. I'm sure that it will get harder, but for now it's easy and I will revel in that.

Jumping back to yesterday, it was really foggy when I was driving home. There were random patches of fog. Sometimes I had to guess where the yellow line was. It was pretty fun though. Not sure why I found it fun, but it kinda was. I also had to sit very upright so I could see over the fog that was covering my windshield. But yeah, fun.

Today I watched the anime "Golden Boy." It's a six episode anime in which the main character, Kintaro Oue, bikes around and gets employed in several fields of work. He takes intensive notes in a small notebook he carries around. He also says "educational" a lot. He likes learning, I guess. He's 25 and dropped out of Tokyo Law School right before graduation. He even had completed everything he needed to graduate. So the story is him going to different places and meeting different people and stuff. It's kinda of a romance-y one because in each episode he meets a new girl. Kintaro is a very hard worker though, and puts his all into everything he does. Each girl thinks he's a loser at first, but then he does something amazing and they end up liking him. It was pretty cool at the end though because each of the girls came and helped him in some way with each of their own little specialties. The last episode was about an animation team and they were running behind schedule. It's a very likable series and I recommend it. It was very funny and very endearing.
It is kind of...uh, suggestive though. Not too much, but let's just say Kintaro thinks perverted things. Doesn't really act on them, but thinks them. He's a real nice guy deep down and wouldn't do anything out of bounds. Anyway, if you have time to kill and want to see a new series, go check out Golden Boy. I had to watch it on YouTube though.

Uhh...so yeah. Oh, I'm glad about Anime Boston this year because it will be the last weekend of our spring break, so I can go early on Friday. I'm gonna wear Neuro, obviously. Don't know if I'll try anything else yet. Oh right, I'm listening to that song there because CQ gave it to me and I really like it. Sure, the lyrics are suggestive, but the beat and background stuff are just so addictive. I remember Caitlyn(sp?) showed me and Nina an AMV to the song featuring Touga and Akio from Utena.

Well, I think I'm done. Why is it that when I do post, it's like, really really long? Eh, wh'ever. Byes.

Hey all (I guess), I made an AMV! It's Neuro-themed and it's to "Moonlight Shadow" by DJ Mystik. I posted it to the Neuro community already, but I figured I could put it in my journal too. Hope you like my first AMV~

Maybe I'll post more during break if I'm bored...

Yay, another post within 7 weeks.

I've been making a lot of Neuro icons.  Well, by make I mean look through the manga and cut out pictures.  I've also been playing a lot of RE: The Umbrella Chronicles and Gunbound.  RE: UC mostly because of my friend Dan, who is obsessed with it.  Since it's co-op, I just play it with him.   I got Gunbound because I wanted a game to play when I had nothing else to do.  It's an online game that's very similar to the Worms series.
It's a 2-D turn-based game in which you control a "mobile" (a tank of sorts) and shoot the other opponent/team with a variety of weapons.  You get one shot per turn.  You have to be precise though because wind affects your shots and the amount of time you hold down the space bar (power of your shot) affects distance.  You also have to aim by using up and down arrows to change the angle of your shot.  It's pretty fun; kills time really quickly.
Oh right, you can buy clothes or whatever to add stats to your mobile.  Oh right again, there are I think 18 mobiles to choose from and you can change inbetween each match.  You can ride on a triceratops, turtle, or wooly mammoth among other things =)

Here's a link if anyone wants to get it.  Gunbound is fun =)

I think I'm on too much of a Neuro high right now.  I gotta curb it or something.  'Cause one thing I think I want to try is to make a Neuro AMV.  I hardly contribute anything to the Neuro community, so maybe that could be cool.  If it somehow turns out really well, I'd consider entering it at Anime Boston.  I would have to do this during winter break though; that way I'd have plenty of time to experiment.

Going home tomorrow =)  Well, essentially today because it's 2:30 in the morning.  Either way, I'm really glad to go home.  Actually, everyone has to go home; they kick everyone out at 5:00 PM today.  I'm getting picked up at like 2 though.  Snowed today, which was interesting.  I go into Japanese class with no snow, and when I leave, it's snowing.

Alright, well I feel like being done, so that's about it.  Maybe I'll post sooner than this time.  Bye byes.

Holy crap, I actually posted, huh?  I'm bored and I figured I should.

I'm tired.  I was up 'til 4 AM last night because I was doing some homework, but got really distracted.  My roommate Sean was playing Resident Evil 4 until like, 1:20 or something, but I didn't mind; me and my friend Dan got him addicted.  Like, badly addicted, so I was fine with it.  It is a superbly awesome game.  Got 10's all around.  Anyway, after he was done and went to bed I started "working" on my homework.  I got distracted a lot, but I finished around 3:50.  Since it's Friday, I didn't have my Japanese class at 9 in the morning, so I slept in until 10.  It was awesome.  I'm still tired though.  I had to read for Ancient Philosophy and reading always makes me tired lately.

I got my previously mentioned friend Dan interested in Neuro.  I showed him the first episode and he says he wants them to make subtitles for the second episode and I couldn't agree with him more.  I know it takes time, but I really want them.  REALLY want them.
The fourth episode was cool; best one in my opinion.  It was an episode that was in the manga.  Both were in Japanese, so I didn't really know what they were saying, but I got the gist of it.  Kelsey, go watch the first episode now.  They have it on like, 5 sites for viewing so you don't even have to download it.  So go do it.  I command you.

We're learning some Kanji in my japanese class, which is cool.  We already learned hiragana and katakana.  Kanji isn't as hard as I thought it would be.  Some of the characters look crazy, but once you know the stroke order it's pretty easy.  I think junior year I'm gonna study abroad in Japan.  It'd be really fun and every upperclass person I've talked to about it said it was one of the best experiences ever, so it's pretty convincing.  I could buy Neuro manga heheh.

I REALLY want Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but it's not coming out until Feb. 10th.  KING DEDEDE is a character.  That is so cool.  I have a bunch of money saved up for some games that I want to buy.  It's really only SSBB and Resident Evil:  The Umbrella Chronicles.
That game is gonna be awesome, it's a light gun game for the Wii.  Like Time Crisis 2 and House of the Dead.  Those kind of games except with Resident Evil.  It goes through 0-3.  AND it's co-op, so me and my friend Dan are gonna have a blast.  He loves RE and I really like it now too.  We're going on a marathon and playing all the games.  We've gone through 0 and the original.  I really want to play RE5, but that's only gonna be for the PS3 and XBox 360.  Apparently it's not coming out until 2009 though.  Huh.  I bet it will be ported to the Wii though.  At least, it BETTER be ported to the Wii.  You play as Chris Redfield in Africa.  The trailer is creepy.  The "zombies" aren't zombies though.  They're something else, like in RE4.  But they all have like axes and stuff and they freakin' sprint.  That's terrifying; zombie-type people who sprint.  And there's tons of them.  I REALLY want to play it though.

Well, that was a long entry.  I'm gonna go like, sleep or something.  I have fencing tonight which I don't really want to go to, but I missed the last two Friday practices so I should go.  We have a tournament next Saturday as well, so I should get practice in.  I'm not actually that bad; my technique is terrible, but I still win or come close to winning, even against the veterans.   Hopefully I do well at the tournament.  Either way, I'm done typing.  Hopefully I don't post in like, 10 weeks.  Bye.
